- Have a Plan for Your Family: Ensure everyone knows how to stay safe and is prepared for cold weather conditions.
- Prepare Your Home, Family, Pets, and Plants: Insulate exposed pipes, seal drafts, and ensure everyone has warm clothing and blankets. Bring pets inside or provide adequate shelter and warmth for them outdoors. Cover cold-sensitive plants.
- Fuel Up: Ensure your vehicles and heating sources are ready to go.
Fire Safety: With dangerously cold temperatures approaching, the increased use of heating equipment brings a heightened risk of home fires. Caution should be used with space heaters, fireplaces, and appliances. Visit JaxReady.com/StayWarmJax for more safety tips.
