Conducting damage assessment after a storm or disaster is critical to help the City of Jacksonville better understand the areas impacted and allocate resources for our community. We use the information you report to assess the impact and respond to the affected areas. The application has four categories for damage:

Affected: Water damage to a porch, carport, garage, and or an outbuilding. Living space or mechanical components not damaged or submerged.
Minor: Flooding inside home below 18 inches.
Major: Flooding inside home greater than 18 inches.
Destroyed: Flooding at the roofline or higher or complete failure of major structural components (e.g. collapse of walls, foundation or roof)

Residents can also input data regarding flooding inside or outside the structure. This information is important as it is an indicator of the scope of damage to surrounding infrastructure such as roads. Such information enables emergency responders to appropriately plan response efforts within the Duval County.

The City of Jacksonville is sharing this information with State and Federal Representatives. We need your assistance as we request funding for property restoration and infrastructure upgrades. Improved infrastructure will help us mitigate flooding during future storms.
